Miraj Trip
We started our Miraj trip from Chennai on 8th june 2007. Mysore express started from chennai central around 9:30pm. After passing through arakkonam, katpadi and jolarpettai it reached bangalore (bengaluru) city junction around 4:45am. From there we took a prepaid auto to yeshwantpur railway station to catch our next train - Chalukya express.
Chalukya express (Yeswantpur-dadar train) started from yeswantpur around 7:20am. After passing through Arsikere, Birur, Davangere, Hubli, Alnavar, Londa, Belgaum and Ghatprabha it reached Miraj junction around 9:45pm.

Next day morning we went to Kolhapur Mahalakshmi Temple which is around 60km away from Miraj and Sangli. We started from miraj around 6am in Mahalakshmi express and reached Kolhapur around 7:15am. Then we took a local KMT (Kolhapur Municipal Transport) bus to the temple. It is a very famous temple and is one of the Shakti Peethas, listed in various Hindu puranas. After visiting the temple we had our breakfast and returned to Miraj in a Maharashtra ST(state transport) bus.

Evening we had some shopping in Sangli big bazaar. Next day we attended one reception in Sangli and started off from Miraj in Haripriya express on 12th. Haripriya is Kolhapur-Tirupati express train. Till Hubli it goes through same line and from there it goes towards Andhra Pradesh. After passing through Gadag, Hospet, Bellary, Gundakal, Cuddapah, Renigunta it reached Tirupati around 8:45am. From there we took Tirupati-Chennai train and reached chennai around 1:45pm..
